Few months ago I changed my job from being a software engineer in a audio company to a software engineer in a hardware company. When I changed my job I thought that I’m going to do great and interesting things and that I will work with stuff that we actually discussed in a job interview, and that this new company looks and feels professional from outside. Currently I’m two months in and I already think that I have been working here for 2 years, I am really tired, stressed and here are the same issues I was annoyed with in previous company.
I was going to look for another job, but the issue with this is that what if I end up doing the wrong thing again or the new company is even worse. So I started to read those scam articles called “passive income” and looking at some other articles and YouTube videos I decided that I’m going to try few things and the things I’m going to try are:
- Creating a course on something (possibly something Godot plugin related)
- Create a DIY kit of some sorts I can make at small scale(I have some ideas that I want to make, but nothing concrete)
- Start a YT channel (For DIY kit this can be used for marketing purposes, but if I’m not making DIY kit then not sure what to do with this)
- Freelance as a consultant or software developer.
I’m going to try and keep posting more articles and keep you updated on the progress and what am I doing here and if there’s any success or not. Also I’m going to keep working in the same HW company and try to do my own stuff at the same time.
